Aimpoint CompM4

.dir=7521scd&.dnm=6612scd.jpg&.src=ph I deployed the bipod, threw the rifle down on the legs and was able to push the rifle ahead of me while I crawled under the truck. I didn’t have to worry about getting my muzzle in the dirt and a stable platform for shooting those small targets. The bipod’s a tool. It’s a nice tool to have in the tool box, but it does cost money and isn’t the solution to all of life’s problems. BSW 2/8/2009 2:04:05 PM i have a YHM rifle bipod scope mounts on my stealth upper. it works well and was inexpensive. yhm Just got a Harris Bipod SBR rifle bipod today for my AR-10 . I think I know how to scope mounts it, but I want to be sure. I got the # 5 Adapter to scope mounts it wiht ( Harris Bipod people told me this was the one I needed when I called). I guess I split the ar-15 handguard s, insert the flange into the groove, tighten the stud (positioning the flange/washer properly beforehand) and then I set to go once I scope mounts the rifle bipod into the stud with the claws. Am I right?
glazer1972:
No but I would love to have one.

I placed an order for an Aimpoint T-1 micro red dot sight with a medium “HK” Scope Mount for my ACR on Sunday. I looked around before ordering and saw that they had the sight AND their kickass Scope Mount for about the same price that other companies sell the sight alone for (with the factory extremely low mount). Not to mention they are big supporters of AR15.com. Shipping was only $5 extra. My order goes out the next day and arrives this morning. I open the box and am greeted with my first Dillo bottle opener, some Dillo Dust seasoning/dry rub, a pretty nice LaRue Tactical hat, some bumper stickers, and of course my coveted sight and Scope Mount AND tools (mini allen wrench screwdriver, wrench to tighten the mount, and locktite).

Eotech

But you have to be aware of all the sound in your life, explained Andrew Vermiglio, an audiologist with the House Research Institute, a nonprofit organization that studies and promotes hearing protection safety. “It’s not just MP3 players. Sitting on a lawn mower or a noisy train. Going to a concert. All of these things can add up.”

Because it can be hard to judge how loud your listening level is, Dr. Fligor suggests setting your player to a comfortable listening level at home and not raising it to overcome background noise once you get outside.

You can probably understand that I will not spend $410 on a guess. I want to purchase the new 517, and sell my Eotech 512 IF I COULD JUST FIND THIS OUT.

I may never find anybody here who owns a new EOTech 517, (or 557 that has the same body dimensions) and has it mounted on an m4 AR with both a magnifier and LP BUIS. I’ll have to try and call EOTech again.

If you will give me some time today I will setup my 517 and 3X magnifier on my 6920 and take a couple pics for you. I don’t have a flip rear site but then again I didn’t buy these optics for this rifle. I have an XCR that is on order and will ship this week which has plenty of room. I will post a couple pics later today.

P.S. I bought my 517 and 3x mag from Botach with a great price for both.

56k death sorry about the port side pic, I had the focus set wrong.

Anyway, there is not enough room for all three. Sorry for the bad news.

I already have a Eotech 512 that DOES NOT fit a magnifier and BUIS behind it. I’ll be darned if I’m going to spend $410+ for a new 517 and find out that I’m in the same predicament.

Maybe buy an inexpensive quad rail? You can get drop-in units for around $100. That would allow you to keep your Eotech 512 and push it far enough forward to allow room for the mag and BUIS. The only reason you can’t now is because your handguard won’t let the Eotech 512 scoot as far forward as it can. With a quad rail, you can put the crossbolt on the Eotech 512 in the forward-most slot on the receiver. Check out this thread, agentile posts a picture of a rifle with a quad rail and a BUIS, mag, and Eotech 512 all on the reciever.

Any SureFire dealer should be able to get you the SureFire tape switch, which you install in your existing 6P tailcap. That said, tape switches suck. You may be happier with a Z49 “clickie” tail cab, which you activate with your thumb as needed. If you are sure you want a tape switch, Pelican products has a tape switch that has been said to work with the SureFire 6P (I know the reverse is true, I’m using as SureFire tail cap on a Pelican 6P). Pelican products are cheaper and easier to find since Suefire squash the majority of online sales of their products. You may want to try as many types as possible, and look at the tacked thread at the top of this forum with all the pics of weapon mounted lights to get the best feel for what you like want. SureFire stuff is expensive, It’s best to buy what you really want the first time. Instead of a never ending buy, try, and upgrade approach like I wasted thousands on (but its been fun). If you want to use an aftermarket mount then the VTAC-L4 is the most attractive option. It is the brightest single-level E-Series flashlight, with a shrouded switch to help prevent accidental activation and unintentional clicking. Al Thats exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks i38.photobucket.com/albums/e131/akim85/DSC00201.jpg Whole light setup was less than $80. Standard 6P without any upgrades, LEDs, or other stuff. Weaver 1″ ring from sporting goods store, about $20 for a pack of two. You’ve got the scratch for a happy-switch gun, but you scrimp on the light?

I dont think the one from Bravo comes with the sling swivel ends like the one from Larue. I think that is the price difference.

I have one and it’s great, it’s made by Vtac and honestly it’s cheaper if you get it at Bravo Co.
I love LaRue Tactical but I ordered my second one from Bravo Co because it was about $25 cheaper so now I have two, one for my personal gun and one for work

This doesn’t have to be, because using a rifle sling (leather or cotton web) properly, you won’t get a pulse. At least not out of your arm. Visit Ray-Vin’s web site for detailed on line instructions on rigging and using rifle slings . When they can get back to a normal tempo I’ll resume buying thier other wares. SSN_Doc 5/2/2009 9:12:10 PM I ordered the CJ Products rifle sling from Midway. It was advertised as Cotto, but what arrived was Nylon. Contacting them to fix it. I don’t expect any problems with an exchange, but just a heads up if you are ordering and pressed for time. SSN_Doc 5/4/2009 2:20:52 PM Exchaged e-mail with Midway. It seems the nylon rifle slings are what they stock and they cannot do an exchange for a cotton sling. They will give me a refund. I tried the nylon to make sure, but it slips pretty easily under tension. Just though I’d let you all know incase you were thinking of ordering one. CJ Products does make a cotton sling, Midway just doesn’t seem to stock it.

I’ve bought stuff from them that I could’ve gotten cheaper elsewhere, I think that “Green Eyes” book and some other stuff because they ship quickly and there’s no BS. I don’t know how their dealers make it work since the prices are the same (I think) and guys seem to want the hats and stuff. I would guess in the long run sweetening the pot with the hats and bottle openers probably more than pays off. My wife just bought a flag from them and there was a bottle opener, some stickers, a copy of the Constitution and some other stuff. I doubt any of that stuff is terribly expensive to buy in bulk, but it costs something and people do get a kick out of that stuff.

I bought my last Scope Mount from SKD when they ran the SuckIt promotion. But they lost some serious money on that event, so I guess that’s not a fair piece of evidence.

I would suspect that people who buy through dealers do it just to save the hassle of placing multiple orders.
LaRue Tactical doesn’t sell body armor, for example, so if you were already making an order on SKD… “add to cart” and no sweat.

That’s not how I shop, though. I think about a purchase for a week or two, check all the options three times, and then, reluctantly, I’ll part with my money. It takes a serious sale or promotion to get me to impulse purchase something.

. All guns in china are made in gov’t arsenals and exported through Norinco or in this case CGA. This gun probably arrived in the unmarked and was rather crudely stamped by Glnic. It reads: “7.62X39mm SKS Rifle Stocks made in china by CGA. Imported by Glnic Ca. Semi-Auto” I read that China didn’t mark many of their guns destined for export in case they turned up in places that they shouldn’t be so there would be deniability. This gun has been a real social studies lesson!

ReportI just picked up a bunch of Winchester 7.62×39 from a friend and I was planning on shooting it through my only 7.62x39mm rifle, a Yugo 59/66. My concern was slam fires from the softer primers, I did a search and found this site…
